THE TREATMENT
Each session ins tailor made to suit the horse at the time of treatment. Please allow up to 2 hours for the initial treatment as I will have to assess the horse being walked and trotted up and maybe lunged.
I also need to see the horses tack before the treatment so please have this to hand. Contact me for for more queries.
If the horse requires follow on treatment i will discuss this with you at the time. Sometimes there are some areas housing very deep set tension that will need more than one session to release.
I will do some stretches after the massage treatment and will show you some that you can practice with your horse after exercise.
DISCLOSURE
I am a qualified and insured equine massage therapist, I have an in-depth knowledge of the horses muscular structure and how areas of tension can affect the horses well being. My training allows me to detect and treat muscles and muscular related problems.
I am not a veterinary surgeon and will recommend that a horse is seen by a vet if I deem that this is appropriate if the conditions found are outside of my professional field.
To work within my duty of care to both you and your horse I require veterinary permission prior to treating any horse (Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966), this can be gained by a phone call either from myself or from the horses owner.
24 hours is required before cancellations.
